Water NI 2009 – Meeting the Challenges
4 June 2009, Hilton Belfast Hotel
The Northern Ireland water service has faced a difficult time, restructuring its sole utility while undertaking vital upgrades to the region’s infrastructure in line with EU legislation. Identifying the key challenges going forward and how to meet them will be the subject of Water NI 2009, the first of a new series of annual conferences organised by Water & Wastewater Treatment magazine, taking place on Thursday 4 June 2009 at the Hilton Belfast Hotel.
The stimulating range of topics to be addressed at Water NI 2009 will foster dialogue across the whole supply chain including consultants and contractors, government and regulatory bodies, consumer and environmental organisations. Delegates will hear the latest developments from high level speakers including Conor Murphy, MD Minister for Regional Development and representatives of Northern Ireland Water, the Utility Regulator, NI Environment Agency and the Consumer Council for Northern Ireland. Key topics include pricing, customer expectation and safeguarding the environment.
